"In this piece I wanted to see
if it was actually possible to stitch the water dripping and
falling over mossy rocks. It was inspired by Capability Brown's
waterfall at Bowood in Wiltshire.
This was a challenging and fascinating
subject. It confirmed for me that you cannot tell how dark
or light a wool is going to look until it is stitched in place
next to another colour, as each yarn used for the water seemed
almost white until placed by the adjacent one, when their
colours showed surprisingly strongly."
