'Pumpkins, Figs and Mushrooms' Tapestry Pillow
"Starting with an overall idea of autumnal fruits this piece had several sources. The pumpkins were mostly prompted by William Hammer's painting 'Baskets of Fruit on the Steps of a Terrace' (1852). The picture had many other details that would translate into needlepoint; however the only other one I have used is the stone-tiled floor. The same artist also painted a still life of 'Figs, Walnuts, an Orange and a Lemon', from which I garnered ideas for the rest of my design."

The design is available in two sizes:

  • Worked on 14 gauge canvas, the worked area measures 17¾" x 17" suitable for a tapestry pillow or cushion. Available as either a printed or unprinted canvas kit.
  • Worked on 10 gauge canvas, the worked area measures 25¼" x 24¼" suitable for a tapestry wall hanging. Available as an unprinted canvas kit only.
