This tapestry design is based on a ceramic tile from the house of the renowned Victorian artist Lord Leighton. The original16th century Iznik tiles, which Leighton brought back from Turkey, were damaged in transit, so William de Morgan was commissioned to make some replica tiles.

The design is worked on 12hpi canvas and measures 18½in x 16½ in (46cm x 41cm) suitable for a pillow or cushion. This design is available on either printed or unprinted canvas.
