Tapesty Pillow: William de Morgan 'Sands End's Griffins'

This tapestry kit design is based on a vase design by William de Morgan from c.1890. The Latin inscription comes from Virgil's Aeneid and reads Tu ne cede malis sed contra audentior ito, "Do not yield to misfortunes but go boldly against them".

It is available in a choice of four colours background, Navy Blue, Burgundy Red, Bottle Green and Cream. It uses Appletons tapestry wool for a soft, traditional look.

The tapestry is worked on 12hpi canvas and measures 18in x 10½ in (46cm x 27cm) suitable for a pillow or cushion.
