A stunning wedding sampler inspired by one of the most beautiful
quilts to survive & now housed in the Henry Ford Museum & Greenfield
Village, Dearborn, Michigan, USA. The original quilt was made by
or for Sarah Furman Warner about 1800 and depicts a busy day in
the life of Greenfield Hill, Connecticut, a small New England village.
In my adaptation of the original design, I have focused on the
church & the happy couple & retained the beautiful border of scrolling
foliage & colourful flowers spilling from central vases. An alphabet
is included in the kit for you to personalise the design.
The tapestry measures 11¾” x 11¼”
(30cm x 29cm) and is worked on 12 gauge canvas. It is available
on either printed canvas or unprinted canvas suitable for a pillow
or cushion.
