This fabulous design is based on the American late 19th and early 20th century quilt design known as 'House' or 'Schoolhouse'. Although very old in origin, the effect of the design is extremely modern, making this perfect for any style of décor! In fact, it has often been commented that it might well have been the more intense colours of the later quilts of this type, that influence the pop artists of the 1960's.

This is a very good pattern for a first tapestry project, yet sufficiently interesting (& relaxing) for someone of more experience to work.

The tapestry measures 9½” x 9" (24 x 23cm) and is worked on 10 gauge canvas with Anchor tapestry wool. It is available on either printed canvas or unprinted canvas suitable for a pillow or cushion.
