This design is inspired by a watercolour
sketch for a workbox by the architect and designer Charles
Voysey. It dates from c.1893, and the male figure is
thought to be Voysey himself and the female figure his
wife, Mary.
This kit uses wonderful hand dyed
'Sampler' and 'Shaker' threads from the Gentle Art,
giving the design a very traditional antique faded look.
Using Gentle Art threads your needlework project will
never be a carbon copy of anyone else's because each
skein is unique in itself.
The
design is worked on 28 count linen fabric with hand
dyed 'Sampler' and 'Shaker' stranded
cotton from the Gentle Art.
The
worked
area measures 10½ x 7¾ ins (26 x 20cm).
The counted cross stitch
kit contains threads (floss), fabric, needle, chart
and instructions. Or try our pattern pack leaving you
free to vary the fabric material, count or even colour.
