The inspiration for
this counted cross stitch sampler design came from several of the
books produced by the Kelmscott Press: the rose border is based
on one of the page frames from William Morris' beautiful Kelmscott
Chaucer, printed in 1896, four months before he died, whilst the
tiny repeating leaf motif is the one used by Morris to denote the
break or end of a line of text. The actual phrase 'Love is Enough'
is the name of one of Morris' most popular poems, which was written
in 1873.
The counted cross
stitch kit contains threads (floss), fabric, needle, chart and instructions.
Or try our pattern pack leaving you free to vary the fabric material,
count or even colour.
The design is worked
on 28 count Zweigart Cashel linen and the worked area measures 16½
x 11¾ ins (42 x 29.5 cm).
