bas-reliefs of angels which decorate the interior of the
magnificent Watts Chapel, Compton, Surrey. It is a
fabulous building, which is filled with Victorian
symbolism. Mary Seaton Watts, a great believer in
socialist ideals, used the Chapel as a training vehicle
for the Compton Villagers, eventually establishing the
Compton Potters' Art Guild.
design is worked on 28 count linen fabric and the
