About Millennia DesignsMillennia Designs is owned by Karen Dixon. The company was set up in 1994 to combine her love of needlework with her passion for the past. It aims to revive the work of ancient craftsmen in a medium which is immensely popular in the present. Karen Dixon studied design and embroidery at college, before gaining a degree in archaeology. She has co-written two books on the history of the Roman Army. 
The name Millennia Designs looks back to the past millennia from which the designs are drawn, as well as looking forward into the new millennium. Only the highest quality materials are used for our kits, including either Anchor, Appletons or Paterna stranded cotton or wool and Zweigart fabric. All our counted cross stitch kits are supplied with the thread already sorted for you on a thread organiser card in order to allow you to start stitching immediately!
